Contains materials related to a production tour as well as other readings and performances of Larry Loyie's work for theatre,
Ora Pro Nobis.
Larry Loyie and Constance Brissenden met with producer, Trude Huebner, for the first time in November of 1994 to discuss touring
Ora Pro Nobis (Pray for Us), to various prisons within British Columbia. What resulted was the
Ora Pro Nobis “Pen to Pen” tour of 5 federal prisons across the Lower Mainland from February 14-16, 1995. The months prior to the tour were busy with rehearsals, tour meetings, as well as prop and costume organization; all in addition to Loyie’s other work and travel related to the Literacy Movement. The tour preparation period was such a busy time that Brissenden marked in her day timer on December 11th that “Larry fell asleep at 7pm.”
