"Justice Canada has a statutory obligation to ensure that Canada's federal government is in compliance with the law and that any proposed laws and regulations are consistent with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This paper argues that Canada is not in compliance with its legal obligations. This paper pays special attention to the author's many years as a Justice Canada lawyer and with a court case where another Justice Canada lawyer took Justice Canada to court over these issues"--abstract.
