"The Supreme Court of Canada has been asked to rule on 8 cases involving Indian Residential Schools to date. One criminal case, five civil cases (of which it only agreed to hear three of them) and two cases involving the administration of the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement (one of which has not yet been argued)"--abstract.

This paper provides a summary of these cases, plus another Supreme Court case relevant to Indian Residential Schools dealing with whether the Roman Catholic Church is a legal entity.

In every case, the Supreme Court has found imaginative and numerous ways to harm the victims of Indian Residential Schools in the name of 'law.'
