Truth and Reconciliation Commission begins

Description
Following a troubled start in 2008, three commissioners—Justice Murray Sinclair, Chief Wilton Littlechild and Marie Wilson—were appointed and the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada started.  Commission proceedings included national gatherings, regional gatherings, statement gathering and smaller events across Canada.
