Description
1878: Anglican church established a day school.

1882: A small boarding school was built.

1894: An industrial school was built at Alert bay. 

1929: New school building was constructed

1947: Two dozen children ran away from the school and an investigation led to the resignation of principal and vice principal. 

1969: The federal government took over school administration.
