Publication of The Orange Shirt Story

Description
The Orange Shirt Story is the first of several books written by Phyllis Webstad about her experience at St. Joseph’s. (There is also a French language edition and a Secwepemctsin language edition.) Webstad subsequently wrote Phyllis’s Orange Shirt (2019), an adaptation of her first book for readers aged four to six. Webstad’s latest work, Beyond Orange Shirt Day (2021), is a collection of truths as told by Phyllis’s family and friends about their residential school experiences. Webstad "carefully selected [these] stories to help Canadians educate themselves and gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of the Residential School System" (publisher).
