IRS Settlement Agreement signed

Description
All parties signed the final Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement. On 10 May 2006, the cabinet of the minority Harper government approved the Agreement, and on 15 December 2006, at the Court of Queen’s Bench in Regina, Saskatchewan, Justice Dennis Ball certified the class action and approved the terms of the Agreement. Eight courts across Canada followed suit in the following months.
