Description
Penelakut Tribe Chief Joan Brown announced the discovery of over 160 undocumented, unmarked graves at the site of the former Kuper Island School. In 2014, work with ground-penetrating radar started and continued until 2022. Neighboring First Nations have been informed, and the investigation is ongoing.
