National Indian Brotherhood publishes Indian Control of Indian Education

Description
The National Indian Brotherhood (now the Assembly of First Nations) produced a policy paper on Indigenous education, Indian Control of Indian Education. It outlined the need for Indigenous teachers, better curricula, the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge and language in the classroom, and of community control to improve education. This paper was unofficially adopted as an education policy by the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.
