Description
"Word on the Street Toronto partnered with local adult literacy programs and professional writers to present a series of creative writing workshops for adults who are learning basic reading and writing skills. The goal was to provide an opportunity for creative self-expression while practising writing and editing skills. Seventy adult literacy learners attended these workshops. Afterwards, the learners were invited to submit a story or poem for  publication consideration. One hundred and twenty-one entries were received and twenty-five were chosen for publication."
