Toward Reconciliation : overview of the fourth round
Xwi7xwa Library, University of British Columbia

Text
Creators
Canada. Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples.
Description
"The Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples had four main objectives for its fourth and final round of hearings, which took place between November 1 and December 3, 1993: to hear the views of the national Aboriginal organizations; to hear as many as possible of the organizations that had prepared submissions with research assistance from the Commission's Intervenor Participation Program (IPP); to solicit a wide range of opinion on Aboriginal issues from the non-Aboriginal community; and to encourage more input from Québec. This overview of the fourth round of hearings follows the model established for earlier rounds. Its aim is to make the content of the hearings accessible to people interested in Aboriginal issues or in the work of the Commission without the need to consult the transcripts" ("Introduction," p. [9],Toward Reconciliation).
