Document consists of an address prepared for a workshop in residential education. Address was delivered by Father Jean Lessard about what educators must know about the students' cultural background when supervising them at the Residential Schools.
Curatorial Comment
This talk was part of multiple presentations on themes and issues for residential school educators and staff working in B.C. and Alberta. Attendees were from residential schools operated by several denominations. The workshop was held at Mission, B.C. in August 1964.
