This photograph was taken by Kathleen How, a teacher at the Alberni Indian Residential School (1935-1937 and 1944-1947). She also taught at Port Simpson (likely the Crosby Home for Girls, 1937-1940); Bella Bella (1940-1944 and 1965-1970); Kincolith (1948-1954); and Brocket, Alberta (residential school, 1954-1965).
