Description
An account of the struggles one Indigenous man faced in attempting to negotiate a future after attending residential school. This work describes Anthony Apakark Thrasher’s experience with poverty and homelessness on the streets of southern Alberta cities, his turn to alcoholism, and his recourse to violence. Most of the book was written in a Calgary prison as the author awaited trial for killing an elderly man (he was ultimately convicted of manslaughter).
