Description
UBC President Santa J. Ono delivered this Statement of Apology to Indian residential school Survivors and, more generally, to Indigenous people, for the university’s involvement in the system that supported the operation of the schools.

The Statement was delivered on April 9, 2018 during the public opening ceremony of the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre at UBC.
