Description
The Globe and Mail is a Canadian newspaper, owned by the Woodbridge Company, with headquarters in Toronto, Canada. The newspaper was initially founded under the name The Globe in 1844 by George Brown. On 23 November 1936, The Globe merged with The Mail and Empire, forming the newspaper now known as The Globe and Mail. In 2000, the site began covering news with its own content and journalists in addition to the content of the print newspaper. The Globe and Mail is printed in five cities in western and central Canada.
